Lets Have Some Fun

Josh wanted me to bring Piper's little shopping cart with us back to Minnesota. She has started pushing it all around the house. She chases Taco the cat, and she pushes her toys around in it. I took this video of her pushing it yesterday and she's improved a little since then with controlling it's speed.

I thought it would be a little fun for everyone to guess when she might start walking on her own. I feel like it could happen any day but my mom thinks that it will be a couple of months. I started walking at 15 months and Piper also started pulling herself up kind of late. Let me know what your guess is for her first steps!

My Favorite Face From March

It's that time of the month over at I Heart Faces when we get to show off our favorite face from the last month. Of course my favorite face was of my little one year old. I was getting her dressed about a week ago and I just loved how the light was flooding in and making her blue eyes shine.

Piper and I have been in Minnesota for the past few days so that Josh can study for a big test. We've been having a lot of fun and Piper is learning so many words. I think Josh is going to be pretty shocked when Piper and I get back to Sioux Falls and she's able to carry on a full conversation with him;) The words she's saying the most clearly are Taco, mine, and dog. It's so amazing to watch her vocabulary grow.

Explore Minnesota

I was watching TV with my dad this morning and this commercial came on. We both thought it was pretty cute. It's a tad like the old spice commercials but the tune is pretty catchy. It does make me want to spend some time in Minnesota this summer.

Chillaxin In Minnesota

Piper and I decided yesterday to take a road trip to Minnesota. Josh has lots of studying to to do for work so we wanted to get out of his hair. Piper's super excited to get to see all her Grandparents and Taco. I'm excited that I was able to plan a trip to Minnesota in less then 24 hours.

We miss Josh but are having lots of fun!

The internet also seems to be faster in Minnesota so I thought I'd share a video of Piper doing her Irish Dance that I tried to post a few weeks ago. Enjoy!

Piper's First Birthday

We celebrated Piper's 1st birthday this weekend. A bunch of our family came over and we had so much fun.

Piper ended up running a low grade fever on her actual birthday so we had to make up for it during her party.

She had so much fun playing with her cousins. She also was ecstatic about her kitty cake, the decorations, and all the balloons.



I have to say getting to eat her first piece of birthday was a highlight of the day. She ate her whole entire piece. She loved it so much.



She made a big mess.


I gave her a bath after the cake but today a day after her party she still smells like birthday cake.

It was the first party in our new house and I am so happy that Piper was able to celebrate her special day with so many of her relatives!
