And Then We Snapped - Week #42

Just an average week of daily photos. Trips to the playground and cowboy cookouts.

365 Day 137

“You'll find that life is still worthwhile, if you just smile.”
― Charles Chaplin

365 Day 138

“The unicorn lived in a lilac wood, and she lived all alone. She was very old, though she did not know it, and she was no longer the careless color of sea foam but rather the color of snow falling on a moonlit night. But her eyes were still clear and unwearied, and she still moved like a shadow on the sea.”
― Peter S. Beagle

365 Day 139

“Spring was moving in the air above and in the earth below and around him, penetrating even his dark and lowly little house with its spirit of divine discontent and longing.”
― Kenneth Grahame

365 Day 140

“There is more to life than simply increasing its speed.”
― Mahatma Gandhi

365 Day 141

“All of you cowboys, fight for your land.”
― Woody Guthrie

365 Day 142

“All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages.”
― William Shakespeare

365 Day 143

“I want to be magic. I want to touch the heart of the world and make it smile. I want to be a friend of elves and live in a tree. Or under a hill. I want to marry a moonbeam and hear the stars sing. I don't want to pretend at magic anymore. I want to be magic.”
― Charles de Lint

And Then We Snapped - Weeks #40 and #41

I missed posting last week so you get 2 weeks of daily photos! Life has been good here, we've made a few visits to Minnesota to spend time with my family and my husbands family. We've also had a lot of wonderful outside time which we love.
365 Day 123

“Childhood memories were like airplane luggage; no matter how far you were traveling or how long you needed them to last, you were only ever allowed two bags. And while those bags might hold a few hazy recollections—a diner with a jukebox at the table, being pushed on a swing set, the way it felt to be picked up and spun around—it didn’t seem enough to last a whole lifetime.”
― Jennifer E. Smith

365 Day 124

“Cats are intended to teach us that not everything in nature has a purpose.”
― Garrison Keillor

365 Day 125

“What a strange thing!
to be alive
beneath cherry blossoms.”
― Kobayashi Issa

365 Day 126

“Always focus on the front windshield and not the review mirror.”
― Colin Powell

365 Day 127

“One day you will do things for me that you hate. That is what it means to be family.”
― Jonathan Safran Foer

365 Day 128

“Every act of perception, is to some degree an act of creation, and every act of memory is to some degree an act of imagination.”
― Oliver Sacks

365 Day 129

The camera should be like the notebook of a trained reporter, to record events as they happen, without trying to stop them to make a picture. - Stefan Lorant

365 Day 130

“It was as though I saw for the first time that
life could branch into different paths, take different directions.”
― Ally Condie

365 Day 131

“Love may not be enough to wake a child in the morning, dress him, and get him to school, then to feed him at night, bathe him, and put him to bed. Still, can any of us imagine a childhood without it?”
― Andrew Bridge

365 Day 132

“Childhood is the one story that stands by itself in every soul.”
― Ivan Doig

365 Day 133

“The less people know, the more stubbornly they know it.”
― Osho

Buddy and the dinner stand down.

365 Day 134

“Life is more fun if you play games.”
― Roald Dahl

365 Day 135

“It is fun to have fun but you have to know how.”
― Dr. Seuss

365 Day 136

“Rocks in my path? I keep them all. With them I shall build my castle.”
― Nemo Nox

This week was a little teaser to summer so we spent as much time outside as we could.

“Feet, what do I need you for when I have wings to fly?”
― Frida Kahlo

“Maybe you are searching among the branches, for what only appears in the roots.”

― James Joyce

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”
― Eleanor Roosevelt
