She's almost one

and I have no idea what to buy her for a birthday present.

Josh and I took a trip to Toys R' Us the other day to try to get inspired and I still have no idea what to get her. I don't want to get her something she's going to play with a little and toss to the side. I want it to be something she can play with for a long time. I also want it to be something that is stimulating and somewhat educational. Some of her favorite things are cats, books, playing catch, and music.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!! I only have two weeks left!

Also you may have noticed that all my photos are taken from the same spot lately. Due to my broken foot I've been taking most of my photos while sitting in my living room chair. Hopefully next week I will be able to walk without crutches which means I may be able to be a bit more mobile. I still have about 5 more weeks in the boot and then the real photo fun can start back up. I can not wait to get out doors and start taking some real photos!

For now I'm just going to make Piper stand at the coffee table and utilize the great light in my living room.

Silly Little Monkey

Piper loves books so much. She's loved books her whole life (all 11 months of it) and now she's figured out how to look at books all on her own. I always wanted to make sure my children enjoyed reading and it seems that love for books has come naturally to this little gal.

2 Month Appointment

Piper had her big doctors appointment today!
She's growing great!
She weighs 10 lbs 12 oz and 23 inches long.

She's in the 50 percentile for weight and 90th percentile for length!
Makes you wonder if she's going to be tall and skinny like her dad.

As you can see from the orange band-aids she also got some shots:( Needless to say she wasn't to thrilled. I think it was just as hard for me.

Guess who's two months old today!

This has been a big last month for little Piper.

She started fallowing things with her eyes.
She started smiling like crazy.
She started cooing and even tries to join in on conversations.
She stopped using the newborn insert on her little bath tub.
She fits into all her 0-3 month clothes.
She's lifting her head higher and higher during tummy time.
She went to her first party.

Today she tried out cloth diapers for the first time. I think both Piper, Josh, and I agree that they are the way to go. She's wearing her first pair from her cousins in the picture above. I was surprised with how well the fit her and they seem so much more comfortable the disposable diapers. We'll keep you all posted on how the cloth diapers go!

This has been an exciting month for our little family and I'm really excited to see with the next month will bring!

Piper's first Party

Piper had a big day today. She went to her friend Ella's 1st birthday party. She spent most the time taking in all the action. She was a little overwhelmed at first but I think she got the hang of it.

The headband didn't stay on her head for to long. She kept trying to eat it so I took it off before we made it out the door.

Picnic at Mt Tabor

We took Piper on her first picnic today. We are so fortunate to have so many beautiful parks here in Portland so that means so many wonderful places to picnic. Today was gorgeous so we headed to Mt Tabor. We had a fun day and she was such a good little girl. We even made time for ice cream on Hawthorn st.

Just one of the many reasons bulldogs are the coolest dogs in the world.
