Piper's Pool

Josh and I made a very important investment today. A swimming pool for Piper.
We also bought a water cannon for a whopping .97 cents. It not only shoots water really far but Piper showed us that it is great for splashing.
If you can't tell by the look on her face she's a huge fan of her new pool.

Poop

I don't know if I should be proud of this.

Oh and yes she is counting money with Josh.

Bubbles Before Bed

We decided to do some bubble time before bed tonight.

I've found in the last few weeks that fresh air helps with bed time and nap time. Piper seems to just crash after she's been outside.

Josh would try to blow the biggest bubble possible and then he would bring it over to Piper so she could pop it. The bigger the bubble the louder she would scream before she got to pop it.

Here little tongue would wag at each new bubble.

She can say both bubble and pop.

I don't think you can ever be too old to love bubbles.

The First Chalk Adventure

Today while at Target I picked a box of side walk chalk for only $1.25.

This was going to be Piper's first experience with chalk and I knew she'd be a little confused.
First off I have to say how impressed I was with my husbands chalk drawing abilities.
Piper started to get the hang of it. She mostly scribbled behind herself alternating her right and left hands.

I think she ended up with more chalk on herself than on the pavement.
It actually kept her attention for a good half hour before she decided to crawl away.
It was a fun first chalk adventure and I'm looking forward to many more.

Bows!

Piper loves her hair things. She could sit and sort through her little baggie of hair clips for hours. In the real world they only stay in her hair for a matter of minutes before she rips them out, but when she's sorting she loves to pick out certain ones to put in her hair.
Each time she hands me one she says tit tu (thank you) or bow.

She picks out the large bows for me to wear.
It's a very relaxed activity and great for right before bed time.

Janelle and Nick's Wedding

I recently shot my first wedding since moving back to the Midwest. It's something I've been really excited about. I think weddings are my favorite type of photography. It's nerve racking, you never know what to expect no matter how much you prepare yourself, and anything can happen.

Janelle and Nick had planned an outdoor wedding at the Waseca County Fair Grounds where they had met as teenagers. Unfortunately it rained all day and it didn't let up. They ended up having to have their wedding in one of the barns on the fair grounds. We also had to take the majority of the photos in the barn. I have to say the bride was so relaxed about the whole thing. I had so much fun at this wedding! I hope you enjoy the photos. You can find more on my facebook page!
