Spring Sprang!

I really can't believe my last post was about a snow storm because today was AWESOME!!! You have no idea how amazing it felt outside today. The temp got up to around 70, we had all our windows open, I went for a run (I don't run people), the wind hardly blew, and we played outside all day. 

I took a ton of photos today so here are a few from our morning trip to the park and our evening playtime outside. Also the kids are loving all the vitamin D!!

Another Snow Day

So so so so sick of this winter!!! The novelty of snow has totally worn off and the kids could care less. Today we hung out inside almost all day. Piper lounged in our bed and read my nook. We colored a lot, I even got out the blow pens. We went outside for a total of 5 minutes. I spent 20 minutes getting the kids bundled up and ready to go play in the snow. As soon as we got out there Piper said it was too cold and Dexter refused to leave on his mittens so we headed inside for bath time.   

While we were outside we did manage to head over to our neighbors to bring them a thank you note. They brought us cookies around 4:30 and I told them Josh was out flying. Since they knew I was home alone with the kids they came over and shoveled our driveway and front sidewalk. How do you even thank someone for that much kindness?!?! We are so lucky to have such wonderful neighbors!

Bottom photo - Dex the artist. The kid says very few words but he can say color and pencil. He seriously goes crazy over coloring and carries markers (with caps on) everywhere he goes.

Piper Has New Boots

We took a family trip to Walmart on Saturday. It wasn't until we were in the parking lot that we realized that it was Saturday...not the best day to take a trip to Walmart:/ 

Something really great did come out of our trip to Walmart. I found these sweet boots in one of the clearance bins. Piper loves them because now she can walk through anything. I do think they might be a bit big on her though. They tend to fall off if she lifts her feet to far off the ground. Oh well at least they are making this yucky, cold, wet, and snowy weather a little bit more fun. 

Snack Time

I took a ridiculous amount of photos of Dex eating his snack today. I know that seems so silly but these are the little moments I'm going to want to remember someday when he's taller than me.
