Snow Day Art Project

With the lack of snow this year it has felt odd doing any art projects involving snow and snow flakes. Piper has been begging to do an art project for the last couple of days so I decided to try a couple of snow inspired art projects since we finally have snow on the ground.

I've been looking for a toddler snowflake craft that Piper could do. I found this snow flake project and thought would work perfect.

Josh also had a bunch of packaging foam laying around and I decided to make some stamps out of it. I thought they would be great for making a snowman but Piper had much more fun making snowballs. With toddlers you always have to remember the art project is about the process and not the outcome.

I do have to say though the outcome turned out pretty great:)

5 Weeks Old

Baby boy is 5 weeks old today...

and he loves reading just as much as his big sis.

One Month Old

Dexter turned one month old today!

He's growing and changing so much.
He's going longer between feedings.
He's starting to smile.
He love's his sister.
He loves to cuddle.
He needs a good burp and to be upright after eating.
He's now wearing 3-6 month clothing and size 1 diapers.
His cheeks are getting chubby.

I love this little guy so much and am loving watching him grow.

Snow Day

We had a bit of a snow day today.We haven't had too many snowy days this winter so it felt good to stay inside our warm house,lounge around and take some fun photos.

Piper enjoyed her breakfast of "Snap, Crackle, Pop". She loves to look at the back of the box while she eats her Rice Krispies.

Dexter and I had a little bit of play time while Piper took her nap. He's growing up so much and he's going to be one month old tomorrow. He's starting to smile, he loves looking at all our faces and he likes being able to lay on the floor and wiggle around. It's so crazy how fast babies change!

I also had a bit of deja vu today when I looked down at Dexter in his little bouncy seat. It's hard to believe the photo on the left was taken less then 2 years ago.

In the Playroom

Piper has a room full of beautiful toys but for some reason one of her favorite things to play with is Josh's box of paint brushes. It's always the simplest things that keep kids entertained.

The Cousins Were Here!

Josh's sister's family came to visit this past weekend. Piper had so much fun playing with her cousins and Dexter loved being held the whole two days.

Tummy Time

Dex is already a pro at tummy time and his dad is pretty excited about it.

Monday

I didn't get much sleep last night. Dexter who has been a great sleeper up to this point was up most the night. We had to get up early this morning for his 2 week appointment and even though I was super tired I couldn't get over what a beautiful morning it was. We had freezing fog last night and the whole town was white. I was able to take a few photos of the tree in the back yard when we got home.

In other news Dexter is a growing boy. He now weighs 8lbs 6oz. He's such a good little eater!

I can't believe how much he's already changed!
