I ended up getting mastitis twice with in the first 2 weeks after she was born. The first time I was able to get rid of it on my own but the second bout my temp got up to 104 and it took 3 days to get it back to normal. Looking back I think that anyone in there right mind would have quit nursing after something like that. I had the postpartum crazies and was bound and determined to keep going. I'm so glad I stuck with it though!Annie Bananiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06044681435915226333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3602951949948141780.post-40429761597651998452010-09-26T04:15:10.921-07:002010-09-26T04:15:10.921-07:00Good for you Annie! I had 3 weeks straight of hell with nursing Harper at the beginning. She had a super strong latch and I endured extreme pain every time she latched on with cracked and bleeding nipples...it sucked big time. Then just suddenly one day everything turned around and she nursed until she self weaned at 10 months. Guthrie would still be nursing if I'd let her but we stopped at 16 months and I feel super great for giving her that for a long time. So good for you! Any amount of time is great in my eyes!Ashleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09992418107404690466noreply@blogger.com
